Adding a text

Step #1: Go to the first page.

Upon opening the collection you have created, you will be redirected to the default page which is the first page.

In the image shown below, the chosen collection is the “Default Collection.” This is what the first page looks like:

Step #2: Click on the “Add Text” option.

Now that you are already on the first page, the next thing that you need to do is click on the “Add Text” option which is the first option from the left among the page controls.

After clicking on the “Add Text” option, a text box will appear and this is what it looks like:

The default text is set as “Add text.” To change the text, double-click on the text box or simply highlight the text.

For demonstration purposes, I will be changing the default text into “This is my text.” Feel free to input your desired text.

You will notice that grid lines will appear once you drag the text box anywhere in your canvas.

It is essential that you utilize these grids so that you will know where the center is in your canvas as well as where you place other elements in your canvas.

Take note that you can drag and drop your text box anywhere you want in your canvas. As seen in the image below, I placed my text box in the heading section.

Drag your mouse cursor to adjust the size of the text box with the help of the six dots outlining the text box.

Step #3: Change the font.

Now that we have successfully added the text box, the next thing that we need to modify is the font.

To do this, click on the drop-down arrow of the “Font” tool in the context menu.

After clicking on the drop-down arrow, the default font of your text will appear in the options.

In order to see all the font options, we need to delete the font name, “Roboto Regular.” To do this, double-click the font or simply highlight it.

Afterward, delete the font name by pressing the backspace on your keyboard.

As seen in the image below, the list of available fonts will appear. There are 900 fonts available in the options so feel free to scroll until the end of the list so that you can choose your desired font.

I will be choosing “Amatic SC Bold” as my font.

You will notice that the font name automatically appears in the “Font” tool once chosen.

Drag your mouse cursor to adjust the size of the text box with the help of the six dots outlining the text box.

Step #4: Changing the alignment.

The next thing that you need to learn is alignment. Now, I will first focus on the alignment of our text.

To do this, click on the tool beside the “Italic” option. Take note that this tool aligns your text with respect to the text box boundaries.

There are four available options: Left, Right, Center, and Justified.

I will be choosing the center alignment for my text.

Aside from this tool, you can also utilize the “Alignment” tool. The “Alignment” tool is responsible for the alignment of the text box. It aims to move your entire component across the page that you are working on.

I will be changing the alignment of my text by clicking the “Alignment” tool.

There are six options: Top, Middle, Bottom, Left, Center, and Right.

I will be choosing the “Middle” option. Feel free to choose your desired alignment.

This is what my text box looks like after:

Step #5: Changing the font style.

You can choose among these two font styles available in the context menu: Bold and Italic. Since I chose “Amatic SC Bold” as my font, it is already set to bold by default.

For the scope of this article, I will make my font “Italic.” To do this, click on the “Italic” option.

This is what the text looks like after:

Step #6: Changing the font size.

Now that we are finished with the font styles. We will now move forward with the font size.
